So that should tell you just how patiently I've been awaiting this game. And now it's here. And I'm happy as hell. Skullgirls is beautiful. It plays very similarly to BlazBlue or Arcana Heart. So far I've played through Story Mode with just a single character, and there's still a lot more to learn. Though some might complain about a small roster, this is really an amazing starting point for a new series. I really hope it does well so we may see some DLC characters or better yet... a proper sequel. But in the meantime, I'll be plenty content getting lots of mileage out of this one!Of the new games I gave try, the real stand-out to me was a PSN title in the works called Skullgirls. Basically a very cutesy 2D fighter in the spirit of Guilty Gear or Darkstalkers. I look forward to seeing it get completed.
HIGHLY recommended for 2D fighting fans!

Man you're on a roll! Either that or no one else is beating games!

I've been waiting for this, too. Glad to hear it's good! I plan on picking it up along with Fez this week.So that should tell you just how patiently I've been awaiting this game. And now it's here. My main game is Mass Effect 2 right now and I am about 20 hours in. Probably have another 20 to go. Hopefully I can notch my belt with a shorter one like I Am Alive or Trine soon. We'll see!

Spyro The Dragon. Pretty easy, for the most part. But still fun as hell.
I also beat Soul Calibur on Dreamcast, which was so incredibly freaking easy on the Normal setting it was laughable. And I don't fancy myself a fighting game expert, by any means.

Re: Games Beaten 2012
1/2 Cannon Spike (DC)
1/9 Mega Man X4 (GCN)
1/17 Psycho Soldier (PSN)
1/22 Warhammer 40,000: Dark Crusade (PC)
1/28 Police 911 2 (Arcade)
2/7 Soul Calibur V (PS3)
2/26 Metal Gear Solid 2: HD Edition (PS3)
3/7 Street Fighter X Tekken (PS3)
4/14 Sonic CD (PSN)
Welp, finally beat Sonic CD. I have to say that while I like the ideas that Sonic CD brings to the table, in execution it is probably my least favorite of the old school games. It just feels clumsy, over complicated, and I rarely got to feel like I was going 'fast'.
Still, not a bad game by any stretch of the imagination. The PS3 emulation of it is top notch. More than worth the $5.

Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?

Re: Games Beaten 2012
Lunar Legend
A GBA remake of The Silver Star. Since this is the only non-CD version of the game there's no voice acting or anime cutscenes. There are some nice looking anime stills though, which look lifted right from the PS1 version.
Honestly this is probably the "worst" version of the game. Don't get me wrong, it's a lot of fun, but if you've already played it on Sega CD, Saturn, PlayStation, or PSP then don't bother with this port.
2012 games beaten:
Dragon Quest IV: Chapters of the Chosen (DS)
Star Ocean: Second Evolution (PSP)
Dragon Quest V: Hand of the Heavenly Bride (DS)
Ys Book I & II (TCD)
Ys III: Wanderers from Ys (SNES)
Ys: The Ark of Napishtim (PS2)
Donkey Kong Country (SNES)
Lunar Legend (GBA)
