I haven't read the books but watched the entire first season on DVD and can say for sure that they definitely know how to make you hate a bad guy. From the dog and horse slayings to the other stuff. They make you really root for the "he's gonna get his" moment.

I thought the season 2 premiere was solid. Anyone else catch it?

I did, I thought it was solid episode given all the setting up they have to do. Every scene with Tyrion was excellent, and I love the banter between Tyrion and Bronn. Sometimes I wish the show was just focused on them.

Yep it was good. Will be interesting to see how they will handle all the diverging plot threads. It gets even more convoluted in the future. The problem with an hour show is that if they hit them all, each thread only gets 5 min a show lol.

In the later books, a lot of it isn't chronological either as some stuff later books happens in earlier and they focus on different plots and characters. I will imagine the show will break it up and do it chronologically, but I am not sure how they do it.

This one episode was mostly setting the stage for this season so not too much action I suppose. Overall I think this book is not as strong as the first, but still good. Book 3 however is probably the best in the series and complex. I think they split it up into 2 seasons...

I watched the first two episodes of the season and it's been pretty great. Tyrion Lannister is still the best character.

One thing I had forgotten about Game of Thrones during its hiatus, was just how damn pornographic this show gets sometimes

Not that I'm complaining

Pretty shocking ending to that last episode. I can't believe it's only two more episodes left in the season. The show seems to have really short seasons. In a way, it's a good thing though, because they pack so many things into each episode that I'll appreciate the time that it's off the air so that I can fully digest everything.

My favorite moment so far

Already posted this in another thread, but this one seems more appropriate

So it looks like Game of Thrones is getting censored. I should go out and buy a season 1 blue ray before it happens. It will make a nice conversation piece after the censored discs hit the market.

I hate censorship personally, but I'm sure the show creators have to bow down to the wishes of HBO.

Excellent, if predictable ending to tonight's show. I thought they did that whole scene very well.

I am sad that the season is now 40% over :(
