(old) DS cases have GBA game slots in them? Is it to put the GBA version of the same game in with?flojocabron wrote:I just bought Aliens: Infestation and when I opened it up, it was missing the GBA slot on the case.

The GBA slots in DS cases are actually pretty nice. I didn't start buying GBA games until 2010 so I've never been able to find many with the orginal boxes.ExedExes wrote:(old) DS cases have GBA game slots in them? I try to toss my loose GBA games into the cases of similar DS titles. For example, I store my loose copy of Lunar Legend (GBA) in the Lunar: Dragon Song (DS) case. My copy of Phantasy Star Collection (GBA) lives in the Phantasy Star 0 (DS) case. And so on........

I find that to be a cool concept, for exactly the reason you do it. I've been coming to find out searching for GBA games online that many of them were re-released onto the DS (Ultimate Card Games being an example) so for the DS to offer a place to put your GBA ports (or reasonable facsimilies) might make it easier to whip out the one you want to play provided you have the original DS or DSLite.BoneSnapDeez wrote:I try to toss my loose GBA games into the cases of similar DS titles. I also like winning CIBs for GBA games so I have a place to put all my other loose carts. 2 boxes and 5 games so far in each!

They're in DS cases now?
I always loved how strong and sturdy DS cases are. At least PS3 games don't have them. Yet.

Yeah. These are way too flimsy. My case for Skyrim cracked as soon as I opened it the day it released.

Re: Oh joy, eco packs are here!
I first started encountering these when I'd pick up cheap DVD's out of Walmart's 5 buck bin.
The first game I ran into that uses these was Xenoblade, just recently. Which I guess isn't a total loss, seeing as how you can see the reversible cover art through the 'missing' plastic.
Anyone remember those really old DVD cases where the back cover was plastic, and the front was cardboard, with which you'd snap shut with a plastic hinge? They always pissed me off because the disc-holder would always start snapping off in little chunks, causing your disc to come lose in storage.
At least these are better than those... I guess.

And it sucks too cause when I find some used games there's always a poke or paper indentation.
Making harder to find a nicer copy.
Dammit
