How do you guys play your RPGs?
Re: How do you guys play your RPGs?
I usually play anywhere from 1 to 5 hours a day, depending on how soon I want to finish the game. I also have a weird habit of getting to the final dungeon and then taking a break for a week or two then coming back to finish it.

Like prfsnl_gmr and a couple other posters, I mostly play handheld RPGs these days. They usually tend to have a "save anywhere" feature and even if they don't, you can close the DS lid and it conserves battery life, or you can "turn off" the PSP with a game going and turn it back on later and it'll be in the same spot. I've mostly been playing my DS and just blazed through all the Dragon Quest ports as well as DQ IX. I'm now playing Devil Survivor.
When I play games at home, it's mostly to amuse my son (he's two). So at first it was stuff like Super Mario Bros and Kirby's Adventure. Then I found out he's also happy to watch me play Legend of Zelda. I tried getting through Nier, but he'd usually want to grab the controller and make the camera spin around, or unleash magic attacks and stuff. I was going along fine tho until I hit an hour long boss battle. Couldn't do it on the first try so I've put the game aside until I have time for it. I've tried a few other games, but haven't found anything I want to sink some time into. And since I hardly have any time for console gaming, I kinda just haven't bothered looking. I'm going to beat Zelda without using a walkthru or map, and then maybe try beating Paper Mario (these are both games I have d/led on my Wii from the previous owner).

I have a ton of games listed at my store's site: Super Smash Video Games

Who else thought of the "How do you eat your Reese's?" commercials when reading the OP?
Let strength be granted, so the world might be mended...so the world might be mended.

I used to marathon games before I started working full time, but now obviously I don't anymore. I also prefer portable gaming - a GBA SP, a DS with a flashcard, a hacked PSP, or roms on a netbook are very useful to me when I have an itch to play an old RPG but need to multitask with three other things.
Unless it's something on the SNES that I can play with a translated rom + PowerPak. I still think that's awesomeness.
