NiGHTS into Dreams is easily one of my top 5 video games of all time. Nothing gets more play aside from maybe PDS on my Saturn. So naturally I was sooooooo stoked when Journey came out........ and then I played it.
Ended up trading it in the very next day for Mario Galaxy which was a fantastic decision.

I seem to recall his wife/SO saying that he has some sort of learning disability as the reason for the poor grammar so I would cut him some slack.
