I thought they played it right with "We need to investigate if there is something wrong with our stash". "Nope, there isn't, the game sucks".

Just due dilligence and a nice subtle knock at Konami along the way.

so I did end up getting HD Collection. I went to Gamestop because of the B2G1 sale. I figured I'd grab SH2 as one of my games. They had it for $15ish, and really beat up. SH3 was another $20ish and in worse condition. Or a pristine copy of HD for $32ish (all prices based on my Power Up Reward discount). At any rate, I decided to go with the nice copy of HD, as it meant I'd still get 2 more games on top of the 2 included on HD, not to mention the fact that I feel like if I didn't get this version, then I'd probably never shell out $20 for 3.

So far -- I'm a little over an hour in -- I think 2 is great. Sure there's some slow-down, but it doesn't bother me much. The atmosphere is excellent. I'll keep y'all posted on my thoughts as I play through 2 for the first time.

To the people that bought the collection:

What do you think? Good buy? Terrible/Excellent new voice acting?

What are your opinions?

I'm probably a bad person to ask. I can't compare it to the PS2 versions, as I haven't played them. All I can tell you is that I've enjoyed it (SH2) so far in this new version.

I thought 40 was a fair price and heck, how much can you really upgrade an older game. I though it was nice to play through my Xbox on HDMI.

I think if you are looking for Xbox 360 graphics then you will be disappointed. If you just wanna be able to play em on your 360 or PS3 then you will be happy. Also, I dont think it is moving a lot of units so may have a little value down the road.

So, did the patch fix the PS3 issues? I like collecting the HD collections - and this is one of the few also on Xbox360. I know the 360 version didn't have the same issues.

I wonder if the 360 is the way to go for the Devil May Cry collection as well.

I hope not. Well, I guess I played DMC4 on the 360, but I'd rather play the original DMC's on the PS3 with the original controller and all.

I played the DMC Collection on PS3 and had no issues whatsoever. Looked gorgeous and kind of got rid of the grainy visual look people would sometimes complain about.
