Skull Girls
Re: Skull Girls
I watched a couple trailers and I found the action hard to follow; I had difficulty differentiating the characters from the backgrounds.

Yeah it's an independent shoe string budget game, but I love the character design.. ONly 8 characters at first though but I believe there will be more available through DLC..MrPopo wrote:I watched a couple trailers and I found the action hard to follow; I had difficulty differentiating the characters from the backgrounds.

Ever heard of doujin games? Granted it'd be a PC game that way, but it's possible.EvilRyu2099 wrote:This is a totally independent game made by fighting game players and fans.. Would have been hard to get a retail version developed.
I wish the console makers would allow physical releases of these independent games. To be sold online and/or at some sorts of conventions and such.
They could be much like the minimal packaging in most doujin games. Case, cover art and disk. That's all. I'd pay $20 - $40 for that over $5 - $15 on PSN. I know I am in the minority on that. Maybe not on this forum but overall.

Maybe if this game was developed in Japan... But it wasn't.. It was developed by Mike Z and the boys!!! No support to go retail here!!! But I agree on your second point.. I would pay 40 bucks retail over 10 digital any day..ZenErik wrote:Ever heard of doujin games? Re: Skull Girls
$15 seems like a lot for a game being produced by a small budget studio

Yeah, it's definitely at the upper limit for what I will spend on a digital only title. $5 bucks cheaper, and I would just go ahead and pull the trigger. Now I'll need to see some reviews and gameplay videos.Weekend_Warrior wrote:$15 seems like a lot for a game being produced by a small budget studio
Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?
