This will be the last game I will ever purchase new from them again. I usually do not support used games but they deserve it after this train wreck.
Reading Bioware's comments just bleeds of trying to save face again. Free or not, getting additional cutscenes is one of the funniest things I've heard of in awhile. It's too late to please everyone at this point. They fumbled the ball and the game is over. This or the ending should've been there/better in the first place.

Cortez was boring as hell. That's all I have to say about him.

My friend said it best, the human crew characters in the series pretty much suck compared to the aliens.

I'll agree Traynor was an upgrade over Kelly though. And sexual preferences aside, as a male Shepard I still felt like I built up a good friendship with her.
I wouldn't say all human characters suck, Anderson, Hacket, Kelly Chambers, the engineers and Chokwas are all great in my book. Cortez is indeed a little boring, but he doesn't annoy me. However, I kind of hate both Ashley and Kaidan now. This whiny, bitchy, accusatory, wishy washy story arc that started in ME 2 and continued into ME 3 ruined their characters. Granted, my experiences are with Kaidan, but I have heard Ashley's arc is exactly the same. Speaking of which, I'm told that other main characters are similarly replaced with clones in ME 3 should they die prior to this game, making it almost irrelevant whether they live or die. Lame, but that's a rant for another day.

Getting back to Ashley/Kaidan, they absolutely do not have Shepherd's back at all in ME 2, unlike Tali, Garrus, and even Liara in her own way. So in that regard, I see what you mean about the Aliens being better than the humans. Shepherd's human friends tell him to go screw himself in Mass Effect 2, while his alien friends stand by him despite the fact that they don't like the idea of him working with Cerberus. They show a loyalty for Shepherd that Kaidan/Ashley don't. On top of that, ME 3 has Kaidan/Ashley still treating him strangely because of his past with Cerberus. GET OVER IT!!! On top of all that, they just can't make damn decisions without Shepherd. Should I be a Spectre? Should I not be a Spectre? Should I shoot Udina? Should I not shoot Udina? Should I trust Shepherd? Should I not trust Shepherd? They are so lame, not Spectre material at all.

Also, dialog with Kaiden is sooooo awkward in ME 3. He was a straight character in ME 1 and somehow he metamorphosized into a gay or bi-sexual dude in ME 3, making my attempts at friendly conversation with him turn into something really weird and awkward that I didn't want. Did Mass Effect 3 get new writers or something? This is the same guy who talked about a girl he had feelings for when he gave you his backstory in ME 1 (a girl I actually hoped would pop up in ME 3). The same guy who pointed out how attractive Liara was in that same game. Apparently, trying to continue to be friends with this weird, new version of Kaidan in ME 3 means that Shepherd wants to jump in the sack with him. What the hell?

Seriously, this character just sucks in ME 3, and I can only assume Ashley does too. Course, I kind of hated Ashley even back in ME 1. She had a bad attitude, was childish, was racist towards aliens, and I kind of worried about what sort of trouble those religious views of hers could lead to as well giving how problematic her personality already was. I just found her very obnoxious despite the fact that she had some funny, memorable lines in some situations. Her telling off Liara was the point at which she lost any chance of me not killing her off in that game. Funny, given that Liara ends up being ten times more useful to Shepherd over the course of the trilogy than she could ever be.

So yeah, there's my little Kaidan/Ashley rant. Such a waste having this big, monumental decision about which one of them to save in ME 1, when they both end up being useless, annoying characters.

I seen some of their comments about being proud of their work, thinking this is their best game ever, and "artistic integrity." Given what I do know about the ending, based on what I've heard, it really does sound like a lot of BS. Just based on what I've played of the game so far, what I've been told about the ending doesn't seem to fit with the story the game is telling at all. Also, ME 1 and 2 ended on high notes and fans were happy. It sounds like ME 3 went the complete opposite direction. Why fix what isn't broken?

Guys, you effed up, it actually would make you look better to just admit it rather than lose more of people's respect. It's like listening to George Lucas defend his constant destruction of the Star Wars franchise

The George Lucas comparison is hilarious and pretty accurate.

About my comment above though with the human characters, I basically meant the actual crew members you can use in battle. It's just funny all the good ones you mention (which I agree with) are side characters, lol. I guess I can say I didn't like Jack that much, but she definitely had a lot of character.

And it's totally true about key character roles being filled if they're dead in your ME3 game. Happened to me with Mordin, some other Salarian took his place for the Tunchunka stuff. Granted I thought he was pretty cool. But yeah, it's silly how having a character live by ME3 doesn't make much of a difference.

Gotta give props to the non organics too, Edi is awesome. I really love the job Tricia Helfer does with that role. I hope I get to see Legion soon. Edi's relationship with Joker is hilarious. I feel like I played matchmaker with those two. I just had to see how that relationship would play out. I've heard that Tali and Garrus kind of have a thing if your Shepherd never went after Tali. I think that's awesome. I want to see that play out too. I love those two characters. Garrus always has something insightful or funny to say in every situation and Tali is just adorably awkward

Anyone else thinks that ME doesn't require skill? Granted it's more the make-your-own-story kind of RPG, but the game itself just flows regardless of what you do.. would have liked more challenge without upping the difficulty.

How far are you now Gamerforlife?

Also looks like they have announced Free Multiplayer DLC to make fans happy. Though if they have time for DLC why not spend it on working on the ending?

I'm at the Citadel, putting off the Priority mission involving the Quarians, where I'm sure I'll run into Tali again. There's this scene between my Shepherd and Liara. Even though my Shepherd has affirmed his feelings for her for what seems like a thousand times between ME 2 and ME 3, she still pulls out this "friends" thing. Granted, the game gives me the option to tell her that Shepherd wants more than that, but I feel like, how many damn times do Shepherd and Liara have to go through this? Plus, I'm surprised that if you accept the "just friends" thing, she takes it rather well. Liara seems kind of cold in a way in this game. Though the time capsule thing she did was sweet. Still, I'm tempted to just drop this Liara thing and go after Miss Chambers again. Kelly Chambers is actually the only "normal" choice for Shepherd in this game. She's human (unlike Tali and Liara), she's not crazy looking (like Jack with her half bald head and millions of tattoos), she's not melodramatic (like Miranda), she's not dangerous (Miranda again) and she's not ugly (Diana Allers, yeah, I said it  )

I love how Shepherd and Hackett are apparently the only ones seeing the big picture in this game. The hoops Shepherd has to jump through to get all the races together. Geez

Yeah, could you Quarians NOT fight the Geth in a FREAKING SUICIDE MISSION and help the war effort? Admiral Koris is the only sane one, even though he occasionally acted like a dick in Mass Effect 2.
