I knew nothing about the art book, either, but I got one. I didn't specifically ask, but from the clerk's off-hand comments, I believe that they were handing out their only two art books (out of four pre-orders) based on date of pre-order. That or only people who pre-ordered before, or during, a certain time were eligible. I can ask the next time I stop in.

I didn't know about an art book before reading this thread!

But, I went to pick it up today, and they had them bundled with the copies and people's names. So, my store had already allocated them out, which was nice. :D

I've found gamestop stores' customer service varies wildly by location.

Another consumer robbed of getting an art book here. I'ma goto another Gamestop tomorrow to see if they have any spares :S

To those that got the books, are they worth it? Not worth the $30 ebay price, right? Anyone willing to puts some scans up of the whole book?

I wouldn't buy it for $30, but then I wouldn't sell it for $30, either.

It's definitely something nifty to look at and have, but not a deal breaker if you don't get one.

I think it is for Gamestop, people should teach them a lesson and return it and order from Nintendo. Make a stand people!

Pretty happy with my art book. It's pretty slim, and nothing really special... but the quality is higher than I expected and the embossed cover is a nice touch. As a souvenir it's great. Does it have any real value? No... and if I didn't get one I wouldn't be missing anything. But I won't be surprised to see them selling for more than they are "worth" to collector's or big fans of the game.

I think someone scanned the official japanese guide, plenty of nice art pieces in it if anyone cares :)

Thanks for the link. Dang, now I really wish I pre-ordered it forever ago to get this. I definitely think the art for this hands down blows away the art for the past Xeno games. A lot cooler and mature looking stuff here (reminds me of FFT art).

I'm not sure I understand. GameStop helped bring the game to us, is offering a free art book, and is charging the same price, plus there is no shipping cost or delay.
