I thought the "official" Dreamcast light gun (the one we never got in the states) closely resembled the official Saturn light gun?

And my bad, I thought it was universally known/accepted that all of the Dreamcast guns released in the US were unattractive. haha Except for one that does kind of look like a Saturn light gun (can't remember what it was called), but I have read on this very site that it supposedly sucks.

Of course, both of those statements started with "I thought" so there's always the possibility that I'm wrong. haha

I protest! I always thought the Dreamcast light guns looked badass!! Sort of like phaser pistols from Star Trek: Enterprise. =P

To each his own, my friend. :)

It really is a shame though that the N64 never had a light gun. I bet it would've been a lot cooler than the Dreamcast ones. :P

Agreed. Did the Gamecube ever have a light gun?

This has been a fun discussion

Let me put together all the DC light guns.

Image
This is the Interact Starfire Light Blaster. You want to talk about ugly on the DC? I'd start right here. Plus, the d-pad on the side? Not exactly convenient.

Image
This is the Pelican Stinger. This gun is universally panned for being inaccurate and pretty much crap.

Image
This is the SRC Bio Gun. This is the one that resembles the Sega Saturn gun. Don't know much about it.

Image
This is the MadCatz. The d-pad is in the back where it belongs, and those lights on the top light up as you shoot (a feature I forgot to mention)

Image
For comparison, this is the official Japan and EU DC gun. The Dream Blaster looks nearly identical.

There were seriously no guns for the N64? That's a shame cuz I bet a few gun games were released for it.

It looks big and solid, but the one guy complained of accuracy, but to be fair, if the lens isn't 100% that could be the issue, much like with a game disc these days.
