Well, they are spin off titles. Each features a completely different main character. And then there is soccer, power fighters, battle and chase, star force, command mission, rockman world, powered up, chip challenge, universe, legends, tron bonne, that weird board game on the famicom.

Seriously, dude's been in like 200 games. Most center around him. Even if you consider Super Mario Bros. series and the 3D iterations to be the main series (as opposed to them being spin offs of Mario Bros. which was a spin off of Donkey Kong) It's still many many spin off titles.

AppleQueso said it pretty well ... even his spinoffs have spinoffs.

Mega Man is only in the 140s or something.
