SS starts up a LOT better than Twilight Princess at least.

It's about how I feel about every 3D Zelda game aside from Wind Waker. Somehow I keep getting sucked back in, though.
Wind Waker is the one I have yet to play... I have it sitting on the shelf but I haven't gotten around to it.

When you do, it will be a smile for you to post in here. Wind Waker is probably my third favorite Zelda game, behind only A Link to the Past and Four Swords Adventure.
Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?

Four Swords Adventures is an odd choice for a favorite Zelda title.

...of course I've only been able to play it solo, so maybe it's a lot better with buddies.

Wind Waker starts kinda slow too (like most 3D Zeldas), but it feels like it kinda gets to the action a bit quicker than most of the recent games.

When you are like me and you want more gameplay and less exposition, Four Swords Adventure cannot be beat. It is, essentially, Zelda: The Arcade Game.

Very true, but it's just so... different I guess.

Have you played it with friends? I heard it's an absolute blast.

Far more slow (to me at least) than the beginning of Wind Waker is the whole Triforce hunt. Between getting the rupees and the maps and the damn pieces themselves it all takes a long time and slows down the pace of the game.

My first time through I enjoyed that (hell, that first time I made it a point to map every single square of the world and collect every damn treasure, it was epic), but in subsequent runs it was kind of a drag.

Don't get me wrong, I love the game overall, but the Triforce Hunt is pretty much the only reason I haven't revisited the game again in a few years. I end up feeling like I just can't be bothered.

To be completely honest with you, the only times I really enjoyed Wind Waker was when I was high and at a dungeon. Because my favorite part of any Zelda game would be the dungeons and being high made the graphics look almost realistic. lol

Other than that, yeah, I can't say I enjoyed the game all that much. It was very "slow" like CFFJR said. And I can't imagine I'll ever want to play it again. Like ever.

This Zelda talk just made me realize that wind waker is the only 3d Zelda I've played at any length. It was so long ago that I was probably high when I played it too. I have played some majoras mask but I just couldn't stand the game or really figure it out at all.
