I love you guys.

I much preferred the Ang Lee Hulk. It was kinda you know like the comic book and not like the TV show.

I thought I and two of my friends were the only ones out there.

The reason why Sin City the movie isn't as good as Sin City the graphic novels (never released in individual issues, so it's legit GN) is because it has Michael Madson. Michael Madson is a terrible actor. "You got a bum tiickEEER." and he completely ruins the tone of the movie from the beginning by ultra-haming it up.

I haven't had a chance to buy it yet, but I did like the movie. It's likely because all the stories are intertwined instead of told chapter by chapter. But I think that works pretty well for a movie format. But, they did release it where you can watch each story by itself with more content.

I'm glad they're FINALLY going forward with production on 2. We'll be getting some brand new material here also.

I don't know if I could actually order my favorite comic based movies, but, Spider-Man 2, Iron Man, Dark Knight, Blade 2, Heavy Metal, and V for Vendetta would definitely be in there somewhere.

Get the Special Edition DVD of Sin City, it has the stories told individually instead of being edited into one film.

You are pretty awesome yourself.

You have a similar issue I have with the movie adaptation, the acting. The casting was awesome, but the characters didn't pan out. Every character spoke like John Wayne, who would speak one word at a time because directors thought people weren't smart enough to digest fast dialog (I'm not kidding).

Sure there are ellipsis in the comics, but Christ. Enough with all the hamming it up. I shouldn't be laughing when a man commits suicide; I certainly didn't when reading the gn.

Think that they missed the best story in the series as well. Not sure if it has a name, because the only text on the comic was the barcode on the back. Simply illustrations of Marv saving a kid from a prostitution ring. Not a word was uttered. Frame worthy.

The movie just doesn't touch you at that level.

Also Jennifer Connelly > Liv Tyler.

I agree wholeheartedly with Connelly > Tyler but Hulk was a mess. It was just dumb. Incredible Hulk was much closer to the comics, and there was no daddy issues.

The Peter David run which epitomizes the essence of the Hulk, is full of Daddy issues.

"Daddy Issues" = "The Hulk".

I think the big problem with the Hulk movies is that The Hulk just isn't that great of a property to begin with.

I can agree with this. I feel that way about many of the superheroes. A lot of them are too powerful to make me ever feel bad for them. If Superman didn't have that woman he saved all the time, he really wouldn't be interesting. He can only die in certian situations, and they don't seem to come up often enough. The Hulk? You can kill him, but not easily enough to keep it interesting. That's why I prefer the likes of Batman and Iron Man, Captain America etc. THEY CAN DIE. Not a god like Thor, who prances around.

Meh. I like comics that don't have super heroes. Sue me.

The basis of the plot in Hulk was pulled from the Peter David run at the time, I believe.

I think most people had a problem with the make-shift absorbing man amoeba thing at the end. I kind of just shrugged it off.

Also, keep in mind, HULK was pre-Batman Begins comic book movie. People weren't really taking them seriously, and the movie has a lot of tones. I'd argue the stupidest thing in the movie is the Atomic Dogs ... but even that was played off pretty well.

I absolutely adore the editing ... I know some people hate it, but I thought it was awesome. I liked how it was ... you know ... about the characters ... not HULK SMASH. Even though Hulk did INDEED smash. (And jump across the united states, which is AWESOME)

The action that's there (and there's quite a bit) was very well done. And insane. Incredible Hulk splits a car in half and punches a lot. The sonic clap was cool, but that's about it.

In HULK, he bites off the warhead of a missile and spits it back at a helicopter and then body slams the other one! I also love how you can see the bullets bouncing off of him. and he's just out of control rage when he fits. There's no style to it. it's just raw emotional outburst. And that's awesome.

Throw in the pot the absolutely wonderful acting by everyone and it's a truly fantastic movie. Eric Bana, Nick Nolte, Jennifer Connolly, and Sam Eliot all did awesome.

Now, I'm aware not many people agree with me ... and that's fine. But I am tired of hearing that HULK was trash or boring or something like that. The characters had emotional weight, the action was amazing, and it was before people really took comic book movies seriously. (same year as X2)

I'd be willing to re-weigh my opinion on this if the fabled 70-min. longer cut of Incredible Hulk ever emerges, but at this point in time it just looks like a lazy jumbled, hacked to crap mess.

The Hulk movie sucked, because they tried to change things and they barely had any "Hulk" moments in the stupid thing. The T.V. show wouldn't have been so popular and still rerun if Hulk was a bad property.

Hulk is so simple, I can't believe they keep screwing it up. It's about a giant angry green behemoth destroying the crap out of everything and having drag-out, knock-out slugfests with some of the most powerful characters in the Marvel Universe. And stupid mutant dogs aren't in that category.
