That's the whole point of the stick, actually. In fact, the name of that arcade stick is "Poison has a stick".

That's why Ono has that 'Oh' face. The Poison Stick, Ono's expression, his Bison robe and the Blanka toy, all together at once? Best thing to come out of SFxT, without a doubt.

One would have to be fully ensconced in their bubble to believe that "Poison" is well known. I am just barely familiar, and I believe that is due to being aware of the localization change in the USA version of Final Fight.

Who the hell is Ono? He's the damn producer of SFxT and SF4. Anytime someone says something negative about those games, Ono's name is invoked.

The Blanka toy is something that Ono uses all the time. Almost everytime he is seen, he is seen with the Blanka toy. He uses it especially in teaser shots, often with the toy obscuring whatever is going to be announced.

As for the Bison robe, there's this video he produced to promote Bison being in SFxT.

Still, you don't HAVE to know all this to find it humorous - they just enhance the humor. All that needs to be known is to get the sexual innuendo and find the producer's reaction funny.

PBF feels like the spiritual successor to The Far Side.

PBF has some extremely high-quality comics. It is quite a bit messed up though, in my opinion. I'm sad that it is mostly retired, new comics are few and far between. I think the author put up an April Fool's one this year.
