I don't think this has been posted yet. Enjoy!
and the fact most review sites admitted they did not get to the ending, how can you publish a review if you have not finished the game?

Reviews did not reflect on many negative issues, especially the ending. What for example was the Destuctoid "critic" smoking?

The story is more fast-paced than anything BioWare has done before and still feels like it's affording the player as much time as they need to explore and discover. While some niggling issues do persist in terms of controls, the storyline is supremely satisfying right up to its climax, which contains one of the most interesting moral dilemmas found in videogames (from a standpoint of long-term implications).

Bullshite.
I've been telling people for a long time not to put too much stock in reviews. I know there are some good reviewers out there, but in general, reviewers are very far removed from what I consider the real gaming community. They complain about things that gamers don't care about, and they completely ignore the things that gamers do care about. The fact that reviewers aren't complaining about the ending but the gaming community is, shows you how out of touch they are. Sadly, a lot of game developers are every bit as out of touch as the review community is, hence why we get such awful things as ME 3's bad ending (to be fair, I haven't beaten ME 3 yet, but what I've heard leads me to believe that the ending really is that bad).

From what I've played of ME 3 so far, I'd maybe rate it an 8 out of 10, yet I've seen this game get perfect scores. Seriously, reviewers give out high scores today like candy on Halloween. 9s and 10s just don't mean much anymore.

On a more positive note, I love some of the new squadmates and I've found the dialog in ME 3 so far to be a huge step up from previous entries. Characters comment on more things and they ACTUALLY TALK TO EACHOTHER! I was so sick of Shepherd being the only guy people really communicated with in previous games.
That is the same score angry joe gave it, though to be fair he said he could have overlooked most of the problems if it was not for the ending, like the side quests not getting updated in the journal/codex. It would be nice to now what Items I have for what side missions, instead of writing down what ones I have items for.

That is the question isn't it? But I'm willing to bet 90% of reviewers out there write reviews before legitimately clearing a game.

The sad truth is, they had deadlines. I've even read reviews where the writer admits to having to use faqs or even lowering the difficulty just to finish a game, and occasionally you'll have someone just come right out and say that they haven't finished the game.

I don't think rushing through a game gives you the best perspective on it. I would hate to be a reviewer for a major site or magazine. You kind of lose something when playing games becomes your job. Writing reviews casually for a more laid back site, like this one for example, or a blog is much better I think. On the other hand....it is nice to get paid

You know seriously, this constant disc swapping, I'm amazed that a company can just release a product to market like that. There's no excuse for it. The industry truly has no standards anymore. I always complained about how complacent we've gotten about the abysmal load times in modern games (of which Mass Effect games are also guilty), but this is just plain ridiculous. Every time I do a new mission, "Please insert Disc 2", or "Please insert Disc 1". That's reason enough right there to dock a point off a review score for this game. It's inexcusable.

Sure there is. He might be dead on your save file and the designated replacement has no reason to follow you around. Plus, he still needs to lead the Krogan. He can't just go gallavanting around the galaxy.
That would be Rex leading the Krogan not Grunt. Plus as by what they said the game should take in to account if Grunt is dead or not. The result of not keeping him alive in 2 would be not having that character on your team, choices as Bioware said.
Except you don't get any of your ME2 characters who weren't also ME1 characters. ME3 is ME1 + two new guys.

Finished Grissom Academny....after that annoying disc swap. It was pretty awesome. This game really throws enemies at you in DROVES. The mech bit was fun, makes up for the crappy turret bit on Palaven. I've heard Grissom is one of the harder missions on Insanity. If that's true, then I'm doing pretty good. I ran through it on the first try.

I beat that mission on Insanity (last thing I did), didn't have much trouble with it honestly. Guess Insanity will just continue to be easy for me haha, though I'm sure the last level or two will be insane...

Only a 360 issue. I mean, I had to install Origin, much to my distaste, but the PC version doesn't even need a disc in the drive once installed and load times are barely noticeable, if at all (I mean, ME does "hide" them by making you use elevators/doors/etc, but they almost never stand out as being much more than animations).

The PS3 version probably has worse load times (owing to the relatively slow read speed of Blu-ray), but would at least be all on one disc.

What's strange to me, looking it up, is that doing the optional install doesn't remove the need to swap discs. :?
