Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?

I will be playing on the PS1, unless I can find my DC copy. Great game.

You can't have a skateboarding game without a school level. hahaFlake wrote:I barely remember that there is a school level.noiseredux wrote:Does anyone remember where the secret tape is on the school level?

I'll be playing the PS1 version as well, since all I've got is a PS3.
This was one of my favorite games as a kid. Was great with friends.

This is kinda offtopic, but THPS 2 was my first Tony Hawk game and I bought every game from the first up to Underground 2. I have played all of the games through multiple times and spent way too much of my life playing them, so I would like to know if American Wasteland or any of the other more recent titles are worth the time for a series ”veteran”?
My WTB thread (Sega CD/Saturn games)
Also looking to buy: Ys III (TG-16 CD), Shadowrun (Genesis) Hori N64 mini pad and Slayer (3DO) in long box/just the long box

I still need to get this... I still have 4 laying around somewhere, but I haven't touched it since around launch.

Not off topic at all. The "Legacy" of the games we play is very much a topic for discussion.Menegrothx wrote:This is kinda offtopic, but THPS 2 was my first Tony Hawk game and I bought every game from the first up to Underground 2. I think I gave up on the series about the same time you did, so I cannot be much help. I do know that the Nintendo DS Tony Hawks were actually pretty good. I played one of those non-stop during a deployment back in 2006.

Re: Together Retro: Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2
I love THPS 1-4. THUG was a letdown for me though. I did play one of the DS games (was it Downhill? Can't remember.) And it was good, as Flake mentioned. I really haven't checked out much of the post-Pro Skater stuff though. I feel like too much extra stuff was added to them that took away from just classic skating.
EDIT: oh and the GBC games are terrible, especially the first. Though the GBA port of THPS2 is actually really fun and impressive.

Yeah, Tony Hawk was better when the developers realized it was essentially an arcade game and were okay with that.
Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?
