I remember something like this. A friend sold his entire gaming collection to live with his GF and help pay rent and buy an engagement ring... and then get divorced and get kicked out and move back home. But all of us chipped in and bought his stuff back for his next birthday. It was one hell of a roller-coaster ride.
My scheduling skills have died of dysentery; I hope to visit at least on a monthly basis.
Still, don't forget to tip your waitress.

years ago I let a now ex-friend borrow a good number of my SNES games I kept in this old plastic Nike shoe box that was perfect for holding SNES carts. We aren't on speaking terms any more and before that even happened he claimed he no longer had them or had given them back...

games I lost due to this are:

Chrono Trigger
FF3
Secret of Mana
Secret of Evermore
Soul Blazer
Illusion of Gaia
Megaman X
Yoshi's Island
SF2 Turbo
Metal Combat 2: Falcon's Revenge
Flashback
Donkey Kong Country
Rock n Roll Racing

just to name a few...

Back in the 90's when this was worth quite a bit (the N64 was just brand new or something), we had a garage sale and I was leaving or going somewhere else, no idea, so I let my mom take over and sell the following (expecting a good reward when I got home) :

Sega JVC... SEGA JVC
3 controllers, one 6 button pad
Jurassic Park CD
Sonic CD
Ecco the Dolphin CD
Sonic the Hedgehog 2
Sonic & Knuckles
Earthworm Jim
Vectorman 1-2
Ristar

And a good handful of other games, for... $10.

Yeah, I never let my mom by herself sell my stuff ever again.

I WILL NEVER FORGET IT!

Who knows if my eyes will ever lay upon a Sega JVC ever again.

I hate reading these threads. They're so sad, and it generally makes me want strangle people like deathsled's friend.

I sold Pokemon Snap, my first game, for money to go towards Yoshi's Story. Sure, YS may cost more than PS today, but that cart held sentimental value, and YS is one of the worst platformers I've ever played.
