What's with all these shit threads lately?

I don't know, but it seems every day now I come onto these forums to be disappointed. I stay here for the few regulars I like, but that number is diminishing as well.

I don't know if I can hold myself off from ranting all over the next "Top #" post that comes along.

Don't be afraid to comment on the crappy threads, Top 100's included. I think the very silent majority is bored / frustrated by them. The community should be policing itself in this regard.

Also - I hope our some of members can start to use the search function to see if a thread already exists about their question / topic. It isn't as important to make a post as to make an informative post. Some threads, like this one, are fine to post goofy / silly / sarcastic threads, that's important too, some levity and all - but the number of just pointless and repetitive threads ultimately hurts the community and causes important members to go looking elsewhere for the gaming information and camaraderie.

Problem is that a lot of those other gaming community types are starting to leak over into our community.

The more exposure this place gets (and retro gaming) the more it'll become that way. Just how it is. It's certainly nowhere near that level of suckage yet thank goodness.

I don't think it's large enough yet for it, but a VIP forum would be great for if/when this place turns into retro-gamespot forums.

I remember when I bought Panzer Dragoon Zwei for 15 dollars about 4 years ago. Also you could get an NES for like 20 bucks in good condition.

Now, good luck finding PDZ for less than $25 for okay condition and the NES for less than $40 for an okay one.
