Yeah, I was SO pissed off at the first joke-choice though it was technically justified (not the package, but its historical and monetary value) -- still pissed off. The follow-up was more humorous because that had no justification to be a good NES game (but it was a good game... just on the wrong console). As for the eventual winner, I actually thought SM covered this when they visited Dreamland? (I still think Dreamland is a better value, but not that SM's choice was a bad one.)

And 'lo there will be plenty of "where did game X" go... until you remember that there were over 500 NES games alone, not counting pirate carts, FDS games, and Famicom titles.

Oh, and Satoshi, it might be my browser (Links2 -- stop laughing -- all slates should at least have it as "backup"), but off the top of the page, Popeye might need some cleaning up; the 2nd and 3rd images are on the same line.

What are you using to browse it? Try using a PC/Mac, not a mobile device. Then try using Firefox, though I've been told it displays perfectly on the new ipads.

If you're not a serious collector but rather someone who just wants to enjoy the games ont he original hardware, I highly recommend you purchase Retrozone's NES Powerpak flashcart device. It allos you to load NES roms onto a CF card and then boot them on a real NES or Famicom with adapter.

It might be worth investing in something like that for the really rare/expensive stuff on that list.

Everything else I'd rather own the real deal if possible. You know how it is.

I'm browsing on a Mac via Firefox - looks like all I needed was a refresh of the page. Everything looks to be in working order.

Ha ha ha. No.

I don't mean to sound obnoxious, but an iPad2 is more powerful than my PC (hell, an iPad1 is probably more powerful). I wouldn't try loading such a large HTML document (the text alone is nearly 600 kB!) unless I disabled images and scripting. (Hence, thanks for the warning, I used a primarily text-only browser to visit that one page.)

lol how old is your pc there? That's pretty nuts. It should load on the latest version of firefox within 2 minutes, even if you have a slow ass internet connection speed like I do.

I'm going to be very much in the minority of readers, so the original warning (don't try using a tablet to browse the page) holds very true.

If you are still curious as to how I crawl online (quite possibly literally ) I will gladly rant:

I still hang onto my old Toshiba M200 laptop. It's an 8-year old model with a single-core 1.5 GHz Intel Pentium-M processor. Most popular tablets that single- or multi-core processors have them all clocked at 1.5 GHz minimum.

The very long pause (and processor spike) just happens to be the way Firefox tries to render long pages or tables all-at-once. I am curious as to why (even when images and Java are turned off). In contrast, the super-simpler Links2 browser lets me view pages as I receive them with no slow-down whatsoever. It could be a stack-overflow issue, or it could be some Add-On that creates a bottleneck. Again, I always liked having alternative browser options.

Hmmmm... I was very surprised that there was no Dragon Warrior III or IV, yet Final Fantasy was so high up there?

I was a bit surprised to see Mega Man 2 so exceptionally high... but, after thinking about it... I agree. I have around 100 NES games right now. Most of the time, when I plug my NES in and scan for a game to play, Mega Man 2 is definitely the game I play more than anything else. Ninja Gaiden II, Castlevania III, Life Force and Super C are probably next for me.
