what about that contest a couple years ago where the first person to pitch a perfect season in a newly released baseball game won a boatload of money? That was pretty cool.

There were a couple. Twin Galaxies made trading cards for them and I have both cards.

-Wade McGilberry
Winner of MLB 2K10 Million Dollar Perfect Game Challenge

-Brian Kingrey
Winner of MLB 2K11 Million Dollar Perfect Game Challenge

If anyone wants me to take a picture of the cards, I can.

I never heard about that one. *looks it up*

It appears to have been MLB 2K10. The winner got $1,000,000.

I remember that. Pretty sure their doing it again this year (or at least someone is). I saw a similar commercial on Comedy Central.

Are there any differences in gameplay for Spirit of Speed vs the production release?

Now the Vectorman is pretty interesting, since it talks about a giveaway for various prizes, and to win it states that certain versions of the game have a special message after you beat it stating "you won" and gives you a super secret phone number and address. You call the number, and send your game cart (lol) receipt, and card with info for the chance to win.

What if this cart was a "winner"? could that change the value? Are there even special carts, or are they all the same?

I don't have a Genesis but wonder if any of my Genesis emulated systems have the contest winner version. Maybe it just might be on a Rom or even on commercial PS2 Genesis collection. There might to be something on the opening screens that is slightly different to identify a contest cart. Maybe a few pixels of another color or something? Might even be a stamp on the cart PCB somewhere? :?

It would be great to find a contest winner game over screen. You should lock the doors and do a marathon session. :D

@ Hateshinai and jay - Great finds, nice rarities!

Do you have a Gizmondo? Because, as a hockey video game fanatic, I'm dying to know how this plays. Or know how the Gizmondo plays at all. I know nothing of it aside from it's connections to organized crime.

I love how the yearly suffix on the some of the games just flatly assumes that all Gizmondo games will be annualized.
