Will you just tell us?
You're clearly using controller ports, but you say they aren't for controllers? Are you repurposing them as AV ports somehow? I mean there's not really a lot you can hook up to an SNES. You've probably got some cables you're modding somewhere too, something that plugs into these new ports you've added. Making some sort of funky cable to charge your phone with or something?

I'd rather him not tell us. That would kind of ruin some of the enjoyment of watching the progress of the system modification.
And I like surprises.

Re: Downing's SNES-001 Advanced
Wow! Sorry guys, I didn't know this would be so on edge! haha, well here you go!
I'm going to assume you know what I'm doing now! haha.

Yes, basically the ports below are an extension of the A/V out puts which will allow you with a flip of a switch to have both video and audio in the controller, regardless if the TV is actually on. The idea was pretty much just a jacked up controller in custom casing.
I'm making two controllers for this as well so two players can play on their own screens, even though it will still be split screen on a tiny 3.5" screen, but hey it was a fun idea and it's coming along nicely!

If custom ranks were a thing we did, you would be nominated for "Nintendo's Mad Scientist".
Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?
Re: Downing's SNES-001 Advanced
Haha, nice! I suppose one has to be a little insane to do what we do.
