Yea I see that. But some guides exclusively on imports would be great.BoringSupreez wrote:A lot of our guides mention import-only games already. We just don't have any dedicated solely to them.

Re: Official Racketboy Suggestion Forum Thread
I would agree. We now have many threads asking about SFC games. An article that covers SFC would be great.

Any volunteers?
Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?
Re: Official Racketboy Suggestion Forum Thread
If we start a thread with our objective for the article, then I'm sure we can all contribute to it. There's a bunch of threads already, but they might be a pain to sort through.
The main thing I'd ask about is, will the article be SFC exclusives only? One of the best things about importing SFC carts is that they're usually a lot cheaper than their SNES counterparts. So for games that aren't text heavy, it's a good way to save money. So maybe the article should have two sections: SFC games that are cheaper than their SNES version, and then SFC exclusives. And maybe the exclusives should really be broken down into two sub sections: Games that you can play with out knowing a lick of Japanese and with out a translation guide, then exclusives that are text heavy and aren't playable unless you can read Japanese (which aren't accessible to the average person - so maybe just leave these out all together).

I can help with Japan-only SFC stuff, just putting that out there.

How about a simple literacy test during the registration process?

I'm guessing not?dunpeal2064 wrote:Might be OT
Do we not sticky threads here?
Also, is there anyway to add a "High Score" sub-forum, so that we don't have to search through whatever genre it is that we want to play? Either sticky-ing the Hyper-Linked High Scores list, or making a seperate sub-forum would solve the issue.
Re: Official Racketboy Suggestion Forum Thread
Hey, that's actually a pretty good idea. The sticky, I mean. Not the forum. We'll look at it.dunpeal2064 wrote:I'm guessing not?dunpeal2064 wrote:Might be OT

Re: Official Racketboy Suggestion Forum Thread
Yeah, I figured a sticky would be much easier, but I realized I have never seen a thread stickied here before.
Where would the sticky go though? I suppose there could be a Hyper-Linked thread for each genre? I mean, most of the scoring competition goes on in shmups, but if people want to continue competing in a TR game, or in something that was featured in the "MAME game of the week" thread, it would be cool to have those options open as well.
Thats why I thought of a Sub Forum, like shmups and NG do, but of course, that would be a lot more work.
Thanks for looking into it Flake!

Re: Official Racketboy Suggestion Forum Thread
The only forum I am seeing getting a sticky is probably SHMUPS. It is the only genre specific forum where every game lends itself to a singular mechanic for comparison.
I.e. How would you compare "scores" in platformers? Or RPG's?
