The most startling "Game Over" screens

The DKC series always creeped me out, even more so as an adult, dunno why:

Oh, and the error screen on DKC3, too. I would've hated to have been the kid unfortunate enough to see this:

Harvester had a lot of particularly gruesome GO's, like the man-eating plant.

Wow, I'm surprised someone else feels this way. I used to hate the DKC1 game over screen as a kid. I'm also not really sure why.
