Naw, just a yellow bubble-top, it's actually my older daughter's stick - she got to pick the button and stick configuration.

The 4yo in the back is using dad's stick

^ Awesome.

Crazy to see how alike and how different they all look. Can't wait to have more and see what happens myself! I'm sure s1mple is getting anxious too!

Are you going to watch the birth, Eronn?

It is the most disgusting and most beautiful thing in the world - at the same time. Nothing in the world like it.

I wouldn't miss it for the world! I've got an iron-lined stomach. Then again, this is all new to me. I hear it's a blood bath in there. :o

The wife is doing exceptionally well. It helps that she's very active. Four feet and eleven inches of pure spunk.

If it were just a blood bath, you'd be fine. It's not.

I have a 2 year old son, who loves games and cars, even if he doesn't really understand how to work a controller yet.

I have been stockpiling classic consoles and games for him, and I am going to have "Release Dates" for all of these classic consoles as he gets older, so he can expect a new console to come out about once a year or every 6 months.. haven't decided the exact specifics yet. That way he can go through the history of the games and get to experience that excitement I felt at watching the progression of technology and games.

I have started him off with NES and a little Saturn thrown in.. I need to get more games and stuff before I start off my plan in earnest. He really likes shmups and watching things blow up.. especially the fish in Darius Gaiden.

I played some Sega GT on XBLA with him which he really loved, and some Daytona on the Saturn as well.

I am excited to take him through the history of gaming as he gets older and hopefully foster an appreciation for the classics his daddy grew up with, while building up a console collection he can pass on to his kids some day if he has any. If he loves games as much as I do (and as much as I think he is going to), we are going to have some great father-son times ahead of us.

I don't have any kids but thought it might be of interest to folks in this thread...

My area newspaper gets "The Mini Page" which is an insert aimed at kids. Today I noticed that the feature was on video games, their music, and the Smithsonian exhibit. It had screenshots from Earthworm Jim and Phantasy Star IV. So someone is passing retro onto kids!
