It's probably in like new condition save for those bitch ass Gamestop stickers.

why do they do that? Lately, I feel like they have been "sliding" the cover out just a bit, so that the price sticker can attach to the box AND the cover art. Jerks.

(And what is with them pulling the cover art of some games, and putting the sticker on the spine? And then STILL putting it on the front and back of the case as well?)

rant over. sorry guys.

as a sport video game fan (especially basketball) this is an awesome find for me. A Complete Copy (very mint cart) of Lakers vs Celtics and the NBA Playoffs! :D

Image

This is the game that started it all for NBA Games for consoles and actually became the NBA Live series today (for EA Sports).
-The first NBA Licensed basketball game!
-First team basketball game to have signature moves for the individual star players
-First game to feature half time shows and announcers to simulate the authentic feel
-First to feature TV style starting line up prior to the game
-This game is one of very few to have Michael Jordan playable in the Bulls' roster due to his expensive contract rights.

found it in a thrift store for $2.99

here is the very original MS Dos version that was released in 1989: (you can see Kareem doing his infamous hook shot). download the game here for free: http://www.oldschoolapps.com/downloads/ ... a-playoffs

Sevin - is that a box instead of the standard case? My case insert is a little beat but I'm fortunate the instructions are really good.

I vividly remember the dos version of this game from my friend's brothers playing. I first learned about Mark Eaton from lakers vs celtics :)

It's in the Wal-Mart bargain bin for $15 if anyone else is looking for it. There are apparently 10's of thousands of unsold copies.
Are you serious, dude? I just got home and I'm fresh outta cash!

Guess I'll have to wait till Monday :?

I just hit the 2 Wal-Marts by me, and I found nuthin'. There are some $15 dollar games, but not in a bin. The only bin I found at both was a $15 Wii bin, and a $15 DS bin.

sad for me. :(

I hate how the early EA Genesis games were in cardboard boxes. I print out new labels and put the cardboard away. Actually, I did that for stuff like Phantasy Star IV as well. :D Plastic hard shells all the way!

Yeah. Can anybody else confirm that UMvsC3 is indeed $15 at their local Wal-Mart? I believe the original poster's mention of this. But I'm wondering if it was maybe just that one store or somethin? *shrug* I'm planning on going to a couple Wal-Mart's after work to look for myself tomorrow night. I just hope I'm not wasting my time. Their official website says it's still priced at $39.99 :?
