Virtual On Arcade Sticks

Post by fox099 »

I came across these (http://www.japangamestock.com/videogame ... 12468.html) online today and was wondering if this was a scammer site or if its legit. The sticks work out to be about 40 dollars, and thats quite a steal, right?

I've looked at that site many times, and I always get a bad feeling for some reason. :?

They have a ton of games, and most things are at great prices. Yes, that is a good price for those sticks...however...

They don't have ANY pictures, just stock photos...for everything. They also don't list the condition of anything very well. Just GOOD or nothing at all, really. It doesn't even say that those sticks work...they could be broken (and it almost definitely doesn't have a box, if that matters to you).

But maybe I'm being too cautious. It could be a very honest guy selling great stuff in great condition at great prices. OR, it could be scratched, half-broken and smell of smoke.

I've ordered things from worse-looking sites and I've gotten incredible deals and items in perfect condition. So I say, go for it since it is pretty cheap anyway.

One last word of caution: these sites are generally a small operation, and cannot possibly keep their stock listing on the site updated (it isn't automatic for some reason). In fact, that Dreamcast Agetec stick they have there for 30 dollars has been listed for over a YEAR. There is no way that a DC stick would remain unsold for a year, especially at that price.

Who knows. Let us know how it goes!

I was reading on cheapassgamer.com that some people have had luck buying from there, but they have been small items. Also, their forms of payment are odd, with things like accepting paypal +4% sort of thing. Hopefully someone will have seen this site before and give me the goahead or something.
