Where can I find decently priced fight sticks?
So I've been really into DC fighting games lately and I'm craving a fightstick for me and a buddy, but the standard DC fightsticks are 50 bucks used on ebay. That can't possibly be their actual price. I mean jeeze I could get both MVCs for that price. So does anyone know where I can find a decent price, like no more than 35 bucks a piece, on DC fightsticks.

An early result for searching "Dreamcast stick" on eBay.
Just be aware that when you go for a cheap stick, you often get what you pay for...

Pretty much this. You may be better off saving that money for candy or something if all you want to spend is $35 on a stick. Even if you manage to find a game stick for that price, the quality is likely to be quite dubious.Nemoide wrote:Just be aware that when you go for a cheap stick, you often get what you pay for...

As a matter fact, these days, a DC agetec fight stick can go for more than $50 but that number is usually the fair price. You should feel fortunate that DC sticks have retained their original price value as they were originally sold at that price back in 99!So I've been really into DC fighting games lately and I'm craving a fightstick for me and a buddy, but the standard DC fightsticks are 50 bucks used on ebay. LOL! US MVC 1and 2 for 50 bucks! RIGHT. Unless your only getting subpar GD discs or missing materials like manual or inserts.

Invest in a PS1-PS2 Arcade Stick. Inexpensive adaptors can easily be found for most of the other consoles.

Agetec at $50 = low-end, usually $55-60 plus ship.
As stated, you get what you pay for. You can get an innovation or topmax stick for about $30 shipped.
The only console I know of where you can get a quality stick (stock) for under $50 is the Wii.

I'll tell you what, I got MVC 1 and 2 for around $20 in 2004 -- both in case not missing anythingCD AGES wrote:LOL! US MVC 1and 2 for 50 bucks! RIGHT. Unless your only getting subpar GD discs or missing materials like manual or inserts.

Yup, ^those will work so long as you're not playing yr friend online.

I'd say if you really think the prices are that outrageous, bite the bullet and build your own. It'll cost more up-front, but if you buy the right parts you'll be able to use it with almost any system.
