What was the last movie you've seen?

Probably not important but very interesting stuff about the guy. You can check out his FBI report for some info about him. This movie will either be equivalent to the horrible/comedic nature of Notorious or something worthwhile and watchable like 8 Mile. Raekwon is also supposed to have a movie in the works titled C.R.E.A.M with Cee-Lo Green playing the father and some kid from some group playing Raekwon.

THE HUNGER GAMES

I knew this was based off a book series.

I didn't know it was based off a book series for teenage girls.
This movie sets a new low when it comes to editing. The fight scenes are some of the worst ever in the history of film. The movie assumes I've read all of the books, which I haven't, and things that are pertinent to the story and characters are glossed over. The film is too long, too boring, and the coolest thing in the movie is wasted (why just shoot bags of fruit Katniss? Why?).

Any mention of The Raid: Redemption yet? I don't think it's showing nationwide just yet so I would have to drive to LA to watch it. Pure badassery.

Would make an awesome game: the brutal beat-em-up of The Warriors but at a fast pace of a 2D fighter, add some solid CoD gunplay and throw Suda51 in the mix.

Wow.

Did we watch the same movie? Because I haven't read the books either, but I didn't have a problem picking up on back story, motivations or what was going on. The only thing I agree with you on is that it could have been a little shorter. Overall, I enjoyed it.

While I doubt we watched the same screening in the same theater at the same time while eating similar candies whilst drinking from paper cups that can hold a gallon of soda, yup. Pretty sure we both watched HUNGER GAMES.

<snark off>

I like your reviews Michi, but sometimes not everyone can agree, and this is one of those times. HUNGER GAMES is boring, visually dumb, and the fact that the only thing you agree with me on is that the movie should have been shorter...well, that kind of is disappointing.

Nothing against you Michi, and don't take this personally but...

Spoilers:
I don't like it. At all.

The editing is atrocious. Worst fight scenes in the past decade if not "ever". They are like watching someone shake a really old magic eight ball where even after the black liquid steadies, you still can't see shit. The fact that people were paid for editing this slop is nonsense. Good for the editors who got paid scale, bad for the viewers who know anything about editing.

And the Hulk dogs, or as a friend said "Muttations" (hate to use the word, but "muttations" is retarded, and I believed we were spared that idiotic word) looked better a decade ago.

Did you catch on Prim's name only being used one time? Big thing in the books apparently. How about Gale referring to his name being in 42 times? Pretty huge in the books apparently.

Rue's death meant nothing. I thought I should care, but again it is a major event in the books, but in the movie we get two lines and...cut.

And again, all those bow skills and all we see is a protagonist shooting fruit, and sacks of fruit. Why even put that in a movie? If there is a gun. someone needs to pull the trigger.

Instead we get a cupcake decorator who uses his skills to look like a rock.

^That part is actually pretty awesome. Not the action, but the concept.

Yep. That's all I was saying. Sorry if it came off as anything else.

And nothing personal taken at all. Everyone's entitled to their opinion.

As for Rue's death, obviously it didn't get to you, but it sure as hell got to me. Maybe the movie just hit me on the right day, but the scene meant something to me.
