Re: Which Version Is Best?
Personally, I had never played the Lunar games back in the day and had always wanted to, so finding a copy on the PSP was really sweet. I have played it for about 15 hours so far.Dylan wrote:Further explanation requested.ksloth wrote:Silver Star Harmony is incredible on the PSP! The games I'm the most curious about are the Star Ocean 1 & 2 remakes, FFT War of the Lions, Lunar Silver Star Harmony, and Valkyrie Profile Lenneth. Are these versions reasonably superior/different enough to their predecessors to be worth playing on the tiny PSP screen?
What I love about it:
-The story is very good.
-The characters are likable and charming, and the dialog is at times funny or serious, and very well translated.
-The Cutscenes from the older CD versions are intact, giving a distinctly retro vibe.
-The graphics look very good on the PSP, and are enhanced over the older versions. This is of course subject to opinion.
-It's portable!
-It is cheap, compared to what you would pay trying to dig up one of the older versions to play.

I'm not certain. But I have owned both at different times, and I can't recall anything being any different between the two versions. The XBox version might look a little bit better due to the extra power the XBox has, but it's not significant enough that it made a difference to me, that I recall.Weekend_Warrior wrote:Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance I & II - PS2, GC, or Xbox?

Re: Which Version Is Best?
which will give me the best selection of games: the Namco Museum Anniversary disc on PS2, or the five volumes on PS1?
Re: Which Version Is Best?
FFT: the War of the Lions on PSP is much better than the original on PSX
- more classes (with older classes renamed to fit in with FF universe terms)
- 2 new characters -> one that can be broken!
- better dialogues that fits the theme, almost like Old English in Shakespeare
- fixed some battle mechanics (good or bad depends on if you played the PSX)
There isn't much price difference between the two version, so I will recommend anyone to get FFT:WoL over FF: Tactics.
Side note: anyone paid attention to a tease trailer by SE, possibly hinting at a new FFT?

Re: Which Version Is Best?
I'd go with the PS1 titles myself. Lots of good and rare games on those, even some Japan-only exclusives. I was looking at the Anniversary edition for PC and it's basically the titles you know and love that are available elsewhere. Plus it's got that stupid StarForce DRM that plagued Taito Legends 2 and Midway Arcade Treasures Deluxenoiseredux wrote:which will give me the best selection of games: the Namco Museum Anniversary disc on PS2, or the five volumes on PS1?

In my experience, the only real difference is that the Wii version doesn't have HD.Weekend_Warrior wrote:Ok. I have all the current gen. home consoles. Which version of Rayman Origins is best - PS3, 360 or Wii?

Re: Which Version Is Best?
Since as stated, the Wii version doesn't have HD, you should get either the PS3 or 360 version, depending on which controller you like better.Weekend_Warrior wrote:Ok. I have all the current gen. home consoles. Which version of Rayman Origins is best - PS3, 360 or Wii?
