There's a simple fact that attractiveness is subjective. I don't like makeup, I'm too conservative to appreciate revealing clothes in public, if a woman looks like they spent more than about ten minutes on their hair/whatever I become less and less impressed. Not to mention, at least where I live, the "hot" women who work at game stores (like the EB Games at the mall downtown) know dickall about video games. So the typical "hot" girl is probably more likely to lose a sale if she's talking to me, while the dorky chubby nerd dude that actually knows what he's talking about is likely to have an increased chance of a sale.

I tend to be pretty disdainful of women who act like they should get more because of their looks (when I worked at a pizza place, about 85% of the people who would come in trying to get freebies were young women who thought they were hot shit, the other 15% were junkies and crackheads), so that sort of carries over to when I'm the one buying things.

Lastly, and this is purely me bragging, I'm an excellent salesperson. I make companies money when I work for them. As such, I'm fairly resistant to typical sales techniques (while still appreciating them when I see them).

I'm a married man, so hot girls working anywhere don't really influence my purchases. I have no need to impress or create some topic of conversation with them. Before I was married, it's probably the case that some hot girls in CD shops influenced some of the albums I purchased, but never in a game store. It defies my instincts to think that a hot girl at Gamestop would have any interest in the clientele there beyond making a sale. It's possible, but it doesn't seem likely. Therefore, I would view any flirtatiousness with suspicion unless I really knew her already.

I have a different view of things for "hott", and attractive. "Hott" is something I would one night stand, then never call back. Attractive is someone I would want a real relationship with, which tends to be a slightly more "average" girl. (A girl can be both attractive and hot, but I don't see that often.)

A girl doesn't often affect my decision. One time, in an age when I was more impressionable, I actually had a girl convice me to get a different game. I picked up Aquaman, and she came up behind me and told me not to get it, suggesting Brutal Legend instead.

Just let me start off by saying, yes I am very lonely when it comes to girls. I am however also a video game collector and I am always thankful to pick up new series that I have never heard before. I am currently living at home only paying $400 in rent, so I have time to save/spend my money on video games. I am a very happy camper as I am working plus going to school and I am actually making really good money for my age (22).

I just love it when hott women come up and talk to me about video games. I usually make it worth there while. any girl who pleases me in any type of store or service, whether it be food, getting a haircut, or a message. I usually give a fairly nice tip in exchange.
