After reading this I'm not really sure if I want to get this anymore.

Yeah I've been reading stuff like that all around too.

The MGS HD set had some bugs here and there too, but it wasn't anywhere near as bad as this is apparently.

I never had any bugs in mgs hd but I guess I only played it for like 30 minutes before putting it back on my shelf to hang out on till summer when I have nothing to play.

It was really minor stuff iirc.

Always sad to see these HD collections slip up... if this one was done right I would have bought in a heartbeat. I thought the MGS and Ico/SotC ones were excellent (MGS one did have a few slip ups though). Here's to hoping the upcoming DMC one is good.

It seems like the PS3 version is the one with all of the problems. I might end up getting the 360 version even though PS3 is my platform of choice.

That's really poopy to hear all this now... well, I'll probably just pickup the originals on the PS2, haha.

The DMC collection looks sick. But, I have heard people freaking hated the fake HD updates Capcom did with RE4 and maybe CV. From the screens though the DMC collection looks incredibly improved, so hopefully it turns out well... that's the one collection I'm most excited about.

The PC versions from a decade ago look better than the HD remasters.

I'd post the actual images but they are too big.

PC = Top, 360/PS3 = bottom.

How they fuck this up so bad?

Left = 360/PS3, Right = PC.

Before and after:

The before shots with the darkness and fog looked way better.

Look at the lake in the background in particular. The road texture too.

Here are a few promotional shots for the remake that are pure propaganda.
Here is thier "before and after"

and here is the actual 10 year old PC version

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm...

Last of all I've heard this is really glitchy, if anyone can confirm this that wouldbe cool, the collection isn't out in the UK until May probably because of all the bugs this collection is suppose to have.

Haven't tested out the RE HD collections myself but I haven't heard awful things... what were the complaints? Either way I have to say the DMC HD screens I've seen look gorgeous. Can't wait for that release. Gonna be interesting to see how it (mainly DMC 3) stacks up to it's various PS2 releases though.

I've just heard RE4 doesn't look any different at all and some friends felt pretty ripped off.

Nice post GigaPepsiMan, funny stuff.
