Also, you'll need to either use the Swap Trick, or have installed a Mod Chip to play saturn backups on sega hardware.

post the link of the burning vid from youtube.

I Call BS!

sega cd games do not play on a saturn!

If they did, it would be awesome, but its only a fanboy dream.

thanks so much for your help . i appreciate it. im aware i may need to swap the discs wit a legit saturn disc to get passed the copyprotection. i was just gonna try and see if it was worth it and if id be able to successfully burn a saturn game. if im able id then determine if i wanted to mod chip it. then again from what i hear chipping a model one with the 20 pin is a bit hard so i dunno lol
thanks again.

Installing a modchip in a Saturn is very very easy. Just take your time and don't go breaking stuff inside. 8)

It's a very simple solder. Remember, if the solder is like a little hershey's kiss, you did it right!
As far as the swap trick goes, It can take more than a few tries to master. It also forces a lot of wear on the drive, and you'll have to modify the door so that the system think it's closed when it's open. I only recommend it if you're too cheap to get the chip. But then again, it'll cost you more in the long run anyway. You also risk scratching your legit copy, so use some bargain sports game you don't care about.

yea ima try the swap method for awhile. it seems the model 1 (especially the one i have) is a bit more tricky to install the modchip on. ive opened her up and taped the button down to fool it into thinking its closed but cant burn a proper back up. im thinking ill use and emulator on my pc and if the emulator reads ity as a saturn game i guess i can try swaping in my saturn ?
all in all thanks for all the help and suggestions.
if theres and updated tut andyone knows of please show it .

He said he has a model 1, so while installing the chip isn't too hard, you have to modify the mod chip first (you have to reroute some traces and whatnot) which isn't the easiest thing in the world.

Actually, if it's like a Hershey Kiss, you did it wrong. That happens when there's not enough flux, or the flux burned away, or you're not using any flux, or you didn't heat the components up enough. With these circumstances, when you pull the iron tip off the solder joint, the solder is attracted to the hot tip, so it makes that Hershey Kiss / tear drop shape. Solder connections of any kind should be smooth, and never have a point like the top of a Hershey Kiss. And unless you're using lead free solder, they should be shiny too. Not brown like a Hershey Kiss (yeah, don't worry, I know that's not what you mean).
