Do Hott women who work in game stores make you buy more?
Re: Do Hott women who work in game stores make you buy more?
Nope. Not even a good salesperson can get me to buy something I don't want/need. Having worked in retail and on commission in the past I understand the quotas these guys and gals are trying to meet and I have no problem telling them, flat out, no. Not interested, don't care.
On the rare occasion I go to Gamestop I'm going because I have my mind set on buying a specific something. But even before I get to that point I research what it is I'm interested in, what packages are available, etc. I get all my homework done so when I head to the store I don't waste time browsing, second guessing myself or uncertain about what I actually want. That's just me though.

A female figure definitely does not make want to buy any more video games. Ive been around gamer girls for years so I don't feel as if it is special in the least. Maybe ive been lucky.

Most guys like cute girls. If there are cute girls around, most guys are willing to spend more of their time and money in that location. This is no surprise.
Personally it's doesn't make much difference to me. I'm old and married, and the charms of cute girls can't compete with my cheapness... but if the question is "does sex sell?" then the answer has long been proven: "Yes!"

It's interesting that I have seen some women who work in sales who don't really have any talent (that I can see) other than being eye candy.
Does it influence me? No.
One person was from IBM part of a 5 person sales team. The rest of her team (3 men, 1 woman) did all of the talking. Now she could have been new and was learning and was told just to observe. But she was the most attractive of the bunch. I can't remember what she was wearing that day.
Another time I was meeting a sales rep from Simplex. It was a one-on-one sales pitch. She had a low cut blouse and a mini-skirt. Hmmm. Gee, why would I wear something like that for a business meeting?
A third time was someone giving me an insulation quote. She took some info but couldn't answer many of my questions. She said that she would consult with her partner.

I would say no in my case,it takes alot for them to get my attention.
I've became null to all the groupies and milfys hitting on me,so much so I went and got a hottie and knocked that up and converted her to gaming.
And usually when I go game shopping I have a predetermined idea of what Im getting,so no sales pitch or a pair of ittys will have a influence.

If you can see the future while remembering the past, you may just have control of the present.

She didn't happen to work at the Game Stop in Medford(Sunshine Square Plaza) off Rt101 did she? I was at that store like 2 months ago and while something like a hot girl wouldn't normally effect what I would purchase, this girl was a knock out and I probably would have renewed my Power Up rewards card, again, right there if she had asked me! I forgot her name though.fvgazi wrote:I usually try to get in and out of game stores as fast as possible. I hate all the pre-order crap and comments about games whether it's from a hot girl or not. However, I did have a mildly attractive gamestop girl give me her B2G1 coupon once.
When I was in video games ny, the clerk (dude) made a funny comment about me really wanting to shoot stuff (after buying 5 shmups). It kind of made me want to buy more games.
I am addicted to video games, especially retro gaming from my era. I have: NES, SNES, Nintendo 64, Gamecube, Gameboy, GBA, Wii, Sega Genesis, Sega CD, Dreamcast, PS1, PS2, Xbox, and Xbox 360. I have probably over 1,000 games in total for all these systems combined. Yes, I need help and I wouldn't have it any other way! This is my passion and hey my wife still loves me!!

I worked at Babbages (showing my age there) and for the 5 or so years I was employed, it was solid male staff. Not that we didn't hire females, they just did not apply. This might be a better post for the "old gamers" and "what is geek" threads, but I have noticed more and more gamer chicks working at GS. That is most likely due to the games being more mainstream. On my last visit to GS, I picked up 10 PS2 games, and I was surprised to have the young female counter monkey knew about Mr. Mosquito and made a comment that she liked it. Not trying to sound chauvinistic, I'd be surprised it ANYONE that worked there would remember that game.gtmtnbiker wrote:It's interesting that I have seen some women who work in sales who don't really have any talent (that I can see) other than being eye candy.
On a side note, my last manager I worked with at Software Etc before I left (I was working during the merger), hired a nice looking woman. She just sat at the register all day...never knew shit about games, just passed all customers over to the other staff. I found out later that she was a stripper and the the manager was fired for some other shit that went down dealing with that hot mess. (let me just say, PS1's were traded for "services"...) ...ahhhh, glad I never applied for managment there.
We've come a long way, baby!

Yes, indeed. I will say that someone with excellent customer service skills will make me more likely to close the deal or possibly get something extra. It makes me more willing to come back to that store.Majors wrote: We've come a long way, baby!

You fail at life.Armymanis wrote:I've noticed recently that Hott women always make me buy more whenever I go into gamestop and other game stores. It's like they have this thing where you must please them even if its buying stuff.
Idk if it's just me, but I went in for one video game today and came out with 4 and a power up plan which I had NO intent on getting at all. I also pre-ordered a game as well. Yet the women talked me into with her hott voice. Maybe I am just lonely or a sucker for hott women who are into video games.
Gonna be visiting gamestop often though if they keep hiring womenMaybe I can get one to be my girlfriend
do hott women in your video game stores influence you on how many games you buy or how much you spend?
Buying a "power up plan" or whatever it's called makes you epically fail at life. Do you enjoy throwing money away?

I live in Maine also if there is a hot chick at a gamestore up here I havent seen them, i think they go out of their way to hire ugly ones that pepper you with upsells when all you want to do is pay and go home to play the games
