Chrono Trigger DS Confirmed

An alleged scan from Jump magazine popped up in the Japanese message board 2ch, showing the groundbreaking announcement that Chrono Trigger is getting an "enhanced remake" for the DS this Winter. Here is the scan:



Chrono Trigger is considered by many one of the greatest RPGs ever created and a DS version was on many fans' whish lists, could Square-Enix finally answered their prayers?

This is fascinating! I've withheld from playing Chrono Trigger and FFVII waiting for their inevitable remakes! Now they'd be insane not to port this into English! I hope they don't go Sega on us (what with the Sega Ages remakes not making it out of Japan!)

I'll definately be getting it, never really played much of it as I got to it on emulator and they dont really hold my interest for long enough

There isnt any other information at the moment on it. Not sure which id prefer really as I like the FFIII remakes but I dont have any problems with ports as long as they are done well either.

Is the original Chrono Trigger even out on the Wii virtual console yet?

Looks like I finally have to buy a DS. Enhanced port or remake I dont even care. This is easily in my top 5 games of all time.
