Is it worth it?

Post by Forlorn Drifter »

Would it be worth it for me to buy the special editions of Bioshock and Bioshock 2? I always see nice, gaming related things on people's shelves, and I've always wanted some of my own. I just didn't know if they would be worth it, seeing how costly they can be.

Then, of course, the question comes up of, well, buying the extras online. I could just buy a Big Daddy NECA figure, grab the Bioshock 2 Posters online, and get all the soundtracks too.

Actually, after typing it out, the second option seems safer.

I'll just be simple, but if you're questioning yourself if it's worth it for the collectibles or whatnot... probably not. Maybe decorate your collection with something else that doesn't make you second guess it? lol.

It's just I don't find much I'd like. I'd like a Big Daddy, the Gears of War figure of Marcus chainsawing a drone... and that's about it for now. I'd have to make/find anything else...

I paid £24 for my Bioshock 2 - Collectors Edition, its a really nice package, and for that price I couldnt say no.

All depends if you could get it for a decent price or not.

BioShock 2 as a game ... isn't really worth it ... but the CE is one of the nicest ones I've seen. It's got part of the first game's soundtrack on vinyl and that's awesome.

It was also on clearance almost everywhere, I picked it up for $30. I heard of some people getting it for $20!

The CE for BioShock 1 was pretty limited. I imagine it'd be quite expensive to get a hold of. But a Big Daddy Statue would be neat ... but probably not $50-$80 neat. The game itself is what? $10? So, I'd say it wouldn't really be worth it there.

I'm trying to focus on getting the first one. I can get it for around $45 or so American, but I have trouble finding good sales on Ebay. I almost got one the other day, but I lost it in the last 2 seconds. 2 FUCKING SECONDS!!
