Searching The Gaming Market Place

Post by RCBH928 »

The other day I went to the Xbox live website and tried to search for an arcade game, when the search results came out it had like 2000+ results. Am not sure if this includes retail titles though.

My point is , there are so many games on these downloadable markets that you don't know that the game you want is on that place.

ex
1)I for one always get this feeling while reading here and there, and then a great game appears to be ported on iOS and I am like"Damn it was on iOS all this time?!" and always thought I had to buy a dedicated console to play this game(Broken Sword on iOS is a good example where I thought I had to buy it on PSX, I don't have psx)

2)The other day user J T here referred some one to a game on GOG he didn't knew it existed. I forgot what the game was

3) I was playing with my friend's ps3 and I found Crash Bandicoot as a PSN game, again I got that "WOW" feeling. I really thought I had to hunt the original game out.

How do you manage to search for games you want when you don't know if a port exists on a console/system you already own?

Last I checked its pretty hard to browse XBL, PSN, and even iTunes store for games. You have to know that the game exists in the first place to find about it.
