V should get an NES-ized port, I loved it but would love it even more with full color and the NES physics.

For those who haven't checked up for a while, the group is doing pretty well. They just passed 72,000 likes! Hopefully they get to 100,000 by the cancellation anniversary in July.

I'm still holding out hope that Capcom changes their minds. The number of likes may seem small, but I think sales would exceed the likes. Operation Rainfall has less than 12,000 likes, but Xenoblade Chronicles has an estimated 130,000 preorders. I realize their are differences between the games and fan bases, but numbers like that make me hopeful.

Thanks to anyone here that has liked the page!

I was a member of this group and a big supporter of Mega Man Legends 3. But it's beating a dead-horse at this point. It's officially cancelled, and the creator of Mega Man is gone from Capcom, so it's biggest in-house supporter is no more.

Unless Capcom actually decides to honor Mega Man's 25th, nothing is going to happen outside of useless, slap-in-the-face merchandise.

I know they don't like to hear this, but I really doubt Operation Rainfall had much if anything to do with Nintendo's decision to bring those games over.

I suspect it was more Operation Europeans Went Out And Purchased RPGs.

It all helps. NoA wasn't planning on bringing those games over, even though NoE was. The sales in Europe exceeded expectations, but I don't think it was to a point that NoA would be interested without vocal fan base here in the Americas. NoA tagged Operation Rainfall in their upload of the trailer. They announced the game on Facebook, where the demand for the games had been most vocal. In calls I had with Nintendo representatives, they certainly thought it was significant. They all knew it by name and told me their was alot of talk internally about the games because of the call in campaigns. Gamestop sources have suggested it was significant. People went and talked to their store local store managers. They got them to allow posters for the games to be hung in their windows. They got them to ask about it on internal conference calls and corporate meetings.

Although I wasn't terribly involved with the campaign, I followed it very closely. You'd have trouble convincing me they weren't a large player in the media attention those games got (even after NoA said they weren't coming), and their eventual release.

No harm in trying  . I think most of the group leaders and longtime members have pretty realistic expectations for the revival of the project. We have fun, and I've met a few really good people through it.
