#81: NBA Jam.
Living in Indiana in the 90's was probably one of the best times to have played this game. I was a huge Pacers fan then, and it is arguably one of the best era's of basketball. All in all, NBA Jam was a great game, especially playing with or against a buddy. The sounds of "He's heating up." "He's on fire!" Shoving and punching for the ball, the ridiculous dunks. Nothing nowadays can pay a fair tribute to this basketball game. How many times did you shatter the backboard in the 4th quarter?

Freakin love this game, it seems to be love or hate. 2p split screen co-op, funky bass beats, just a fun game. Love the random levels too, I can always replay this one.

Anyway, I'm gonna vote for a game that I haven't actually played in ages. Mazin Saga. It's a beat em up, but it mixes things up with innovative boss fights, and some 1 on 1 style fight scenes. It just doesn't feel like your typical turtles/streets of rage type game.

And you fight a foot.

Well hell, we all knew it would end up on the list, so I might as well do the honors. The game had epic boss fights like this one:



Amazing music like this:



and some amazing graphics and effects that really pushed the Genesis hardware. The game also had its own style of gameplay that wasn't just a clone of Contra or Metal Slug, but did its own thing(which is so typically Treasure)

In my personal opinion, Gunstar Heroes, Contra:Hard Corps, and The Adventures of Batman and Robin are the holy trinity of run and gun games on the Genesis
