If you can find new, that is great - used should be fine, just verify the reciever is included of course and it is fully functioning.

yep..i was just going to say the same thing. Got one of these about a year ago and it works great! takes 2AA batteries so its noticably heavier than a standard dual shock 2, but the weight feels right. The d-pad feels nice as well!mjmjr25 wrote:To answer your question, the LOGITECH PS2 Wireless controller is very very solid - on par performance wise w/the wavebirds.

Gamestop had a clearance on them last year so I had gotten 4 of them for $10 each.eSPy wrote: yep..i was just going to say the same thing. Yep, the Logitech PS2 controller is pretty nice, I have been using one for a couple years and its been great.
I have 1 complaint about the ps3 controllers, its those damn L2 and R2, they are sloped down so when pressing them you slip right off, its pretty annoying. I know they make some clip on things to remedy this, but I have not had a chance to pick them up to try out.

yeah I've been wanting one of these for a while! I've had two Logitech's and both were problematic. Not sure why. I have a Pelican that's ok.sabrage wrote:There was actually an official liscensed wireless controller for the PS2. Behold the Katana.

Hands down, the Logitech Wireless PS2 controller is my absolute favorite wireless contoller. Since I'm a fighting gamer, this is also the best controller for fighting games on PS2.

Re: Best Wireless Controller of All Time?
I'm sorry if this is biased...
Xbox 360 controller.
I cannot STAND a Sixaxis or DualShock3 (unless I'm playing a good game, then I can live through it). I don't give a crap about rumble. The Analog sticks are just so out of place on the SA/DS3... My thumbs aren't extremely long, either. Actually, the controller is one of the reasons I prefer the 360 over the PS3. I'd much rather use my Wired Afterglow PS3 controller over the Sixaxis.

Re: Best Wireless Controller of All Time?
I like the 360 wireless controller, especially for its ability to connect to an HTPC so easily. But the DPad is a_w_f_u_l. Fighters are nearly impossible. I like to play Killer Instinct (MAME) on my HTPC and I can never pull off combos right.
