Godot102's game collection *2014 UPDATE*

Post by Godot102 »

I am a really young gamer and one of my hobbies is collecting old video games. I still consider myself a noob when it comes to collecting, but I have collected some awesome games and stuff across the years. Today I will mainly be showing off my games. Here is my collection thus far:

2014 update: I've collected So many new games and added so much to my collection that its time to update this very outdated thread. I will Bold parts that have been updated. Still in the process of updating the Gameboy, Xbox and Ps1 sections.

the Smash bros was the 5th copy that my local GS sold during the midnight launch. My friend actually won the tournament they had with peach and they gave him a wrestling trophy....Fun night  I still need to get a copy of the Last Story to have the complete Rainfall trilogy.

xbox/360:

You can just barely see the MGS HD collection on top. I wasn't sure where I put L.A. noire, which is why it is not in the picture.

(3)DS:

I am really impressed with how far I've come with my collection. I recently picked up a retron 5, so I've begun to collect SNES/super famicom games. So far I have Kunio Kun Tachi no Banka and Rockman 7. Expect me to post about those in the near future as well.

Wow, thats a nice collection! I was going to say quality over quantity, but as I kept scrolling I noticed you have quite a few games!

Also, going from NES to VB to PS1, you cant be that young!

Well heres the thing, I got my Nes VERY late like in the 90s, I was really young, all I remember was my aunt randomly coming over and handing the NES with Mario/duckhunt to my brother who is about six years older than me. I didn't really become serious about collecting until i was much older. I'm only 19 and probably the only person I can think of in my age group that actually collects video games from previous generations.

Look at the right places. Bomberman 64 second attack I scored for $25 at play n trade. FES I got for $15 at K-mart, MvC 1 $25. Rival schools I was able to get for about $20. Honestly, I lucked out on some of those games. Though others not so much, Tales of Destiny cost me about $50 and Bangai-o about $40(I will gladly pay twice that amount!).

The best way to get rare games for a decent price is to stalk ebay, Play n trade, or a thrift shop(I once saw Chrono Cross and Xenogears for $5 each at a thrift shop near me, that same store actually had ace attorney, and FFVI advance for pretty cheap too).

A nice collection, modest but nice. I'm sure you will be adding to it in the future.
It's time to kick a$$ and chew bubble gum...and I'm all out of gum.
