I don't see it having to be all that large to play CDs. But another idea would be to make this a fully functional handheld and releasing their back-libarary (and maybe even new games) on cartridges or direct-download.valgalder wrote:LOL - I would love to see somebody mod a Neo Geo Portable to play AES / MVS carts.. man that would be a sight. But yeah.. I gotta disagree with you.. you don't want this thing playing CD games either, it would be just as huge and stupid. NGP though isn't a horrible idea, if it could play those carts as well as Neo Geo AES roms.BurningDoom wrote:If they want to succeed, they really need to put in a slot to play actual Neo Geo games. Obviously a handheld playing the AES cartridges is just gonna be an awkward, oversized mess. But they could design it to play Neo Geo CD and/or Neo-Geo Pocket Color games, in addition to the built-in games. I know those of you who are more technically inclined can probably mod it using the SD Card slot and ROMs, but for those of us that aren't and prefer the actual games, it would be fantastic.

What's the speculation on price at this point? Not the 500 pounds that was a mistype in the original article.valgalder wrote:it's still stupid and pointless, overpriced and offers nothing new. not to mention licensed products are crap.
I think I would pay $79.99 if the stick got great reviews and the SD card made add-on games and (potentially) NGPC games accessible.

Yea, we can't really say it's overpriced since we do not have a firm price point. Obviously, Blaze will keep this in line with their other products and probably offer it at under $100.
