anybody ever just collected games from same company?
Re: anybody ever just collected games from same company?
Occassionally I will buy a game just because it says Atlus on it, but I'm not going for the complete collection.

I'm going to get hell for this but yes, on NES: LJN.
I was also partial to Konami and Capcon on NES as well. Eventually once I moved on in my consoles I never really collected anything for one particular company.
I am addicted to video games, especially retro gaming from my era. I have: NES, SNES, Nintendo 64, Gamecube, Gameboy, GBA, Wii, Sega Genesis, Sega CD, Dreamcast, PS1, PS2, Xbox, and Xbox 360. I have probably over 1,000 games in total for all these systems combined. Yes, I need help and I wouldn't have it any other way! This is my passion and hey my wife still loves me!!

Easy for me, I like/buy all the Quantic Dream games...only three titles!

I have all of Working Designs' Sega CD games (4), as well as 3 for Saturn, 3 for PS1, and 2 for PS2 and would like to get all their titles for other systems.
But they tend to be expensive, so it's slow going.

When I had a GBA and GameCube collection, I only collected Nintendo published games. Nothing against the third-party games, but it was just an easy way to keep my collection modest. There were already too many great first-party games than I had time to play.
Selling half my NES/SNES/PS1 collection (ending Dec 1):

My favorite companys to collect from are,
Working Designs-When I got back into the scene this was the go to company to find.Back when I barely new about them except for bringing Alundra out (loved it too). Then learning more through Racketboy and it members I developed a passion for their stuff much more.
I always boast that I was (1) game away from completing this set,but since then alot them didnt want me anymore and fled to Jmustangs house.lol.
It was all Exiles 2 fault, was either too much or too hard to find, and when I have a goal I have to accomplish it.But in this case I had to keep my sanity too.
Naturally following WD,
Xseed-We all came to the conclusion, this company is very reminisant of our beloved Working Designs and are very blessed to have a modern day rendition of them .For those who missed out on the essence of the WD days (and those who didnt) do yourself a favor and seek out Xseed games while you still can.
Because what they put into their product is a rare commodity.
As of lately,
I been disgustingly obssessed with the TurboGrafx 16 and who runs the show there...
Hudson Soft:After all the quirky things they did on the TG16,I felt the need to dig back and see what bit games were out there from the awesome Publisher.
Lucky for me that refreshed my memory of the NES days,I almost forgot I prefered their games over anyone elses Adventure Islands,Skateboards, platforms and hucking hatchets!hats all you need to know.
Out of curiousty,
SunSoft-Thinking there was some relation to Hudson Soft, did a little research and discovered otherwise. But refering to NES games (at the moment) they put out some pretty solid titles thus making me a fan and collector of their stuff.
Those are my Top picks and would like to mention Rockstar for Max Payne.

I collect US released games from Level 5, as I love their games. I am only missing two currently, someone show help me out! I'm missing Professor Layton and the Last Specter (DS) and White Knight Chronicles II (PS3).
Let strength be granted, so the world might be mended...so the world might be mended.

Is there really only four Working Designs games on Sega CD? I have Lunar 1 & 2 and Vay. Am I just missing Popful Mail? (too scared to look at ebay prices of that one).Nemoide wrote:I have all of Working Designs' Sega CD games (4), as well as 3 for Saturn, 3 for PS1, and 2 for PS2 and would like to get all their titles for other systems.
