I love when an eBay seller obviously is covering something up in the photo, but you don't connect the dots till you get the item.

So much for my great deal on a black label C:SOTN. Average conditioned Greatest Hits instead. :(

If he doesn't let me return it. I guess it'll go into my FS thread.

I'm sick of the holiday season price high that takes until April or May to fully wear off. Everything I want is more expensive than usual!

Retroactive tax deductions are pretty sweet. 50% of mobile phone usage for business = more return. 70% of Internet usage for business = more return. Purchasing energy efficient appliances = more return. Travel expenses = more return. Charity donations = more return. Money spent on gas to get to work = more return.

And if I ever get audited, my accountant takes full liability. Granted the bastard charges over $200 an hour, but anything he misses that I find he'll fix for free.

How are you coming up with 70% as the deduction for internet?

Why does your company not pay for your travel expenses? Unless this is your own business and you're deducting it as a business expense.

Typically commuting costs are not deductible unless you're self-employed and your home office is your principal office location.

I'd rather read the conversation, even if it is just the conversation. Dave once explained to me why they don't upload the transcripts, but I don't remember now.
A) There are no transcripts.
B) Transcripts take a lot of time and/or money to produce.
C) Nuances of conversation get lost in transcripts.
D) The option to "read" episodes is not a substitute for listening to the show.

Uno: It's a rough estimate. I'm the director of Internet sales for a fortune 500 company, and I use the Internet more for business than anything else.

Deux: Company does pay for travel, but doing stand up is a different story. The conversation was basically "Do you get paid to do comedy?", 'sometimes', "do you pay taxes on what you receive?", 'yes', "do you have travel expenses when you are paid to perform?", 'um, yes', "those count as deductions".

C: Home office is principle location. However I'm usually in the office as I like to keep a presence.
