Dynamite Headdy

One of the best platformers on the Genesis. Hard yet enjoyable, unique and varied (you even have shooter levels!), and impressive graphics. I miss when Treasure made games like this.

Can you talk about this game a bit? It's one of my favorite Superman stories for some reason but I don't know anything about the game. What kind of game is it and what makes you recommend it beyond the fact it's based on a comic book? I'm just really curious.

It's a great beat-em up from that era. It plays like other popular beat-em ups of the day like Final Fight or Maximum Carnage. Good graphics. It's true to the comics. You get to play as the actual Superman and fight Doomsday in the Death battle; and the 4 Reign of the Supermen Supermans. The game even mixes it up a bit in some side-scrolling shoot-em up stages (but don't expect R-Type or Gradius or anything).

Mcdonald's Treasureland Adventure needs to take the place of Global Gladiators. That game is just. . . bleh. It's just one of those sloppy platformers where it felt like the level designer just through shit on every possible pixel and then went through and removed stuff until it was possible to get through the level. There's no real rhyme or reason or flow to the levels. Does it have a two player simultaneous mode though? That could be its saving grace.

Anyway, I'm gonna vote for a game that I haven't actually played in ages. Mazin Saga. It's a beat em up, but it mixes things up with innovative boss fights, and some 1 on 1 style fight scenes. It just doesn't feel like your typical turtles/streets of rage type game.

And you fight a foot.

IMO, the better home version vs. the SNES due to the blood code being on the Genesis version and Fatalities being uncensored; despite the SNES version looking better.
