I've got one tech bonus down - just need to take the time to watch some vids to remember where the others are.

Watching the superplays has helped - which isn't always the case in my experience.

I've been using my dragon shot to grab coins in addition to just kill enemies. That has helped.

Recognizing where the Gemheads are consistently would help - I have a ballpark of where they show up on screen, but I haven't actually memorized the exact enemy yet - I occasionally kill it w/bullets and not dragon punch - getting better at it though. This is def. one of those games where it is just pure time in - I'm picking things up each round. I'm hoping for a score of 500K by end of month.

That is pretty much all I do. I only fire actual shots when I am trying to get a boss to reach its second phase. It's a bad habit, but it kinda worked out.


I gotta put some time into it again. I'll try to reclaim the top spot by the end of the month.

I would be very impressed if some of you could reach the extend (600,000) by the end of the month. It might seem really hard to manage but I'm convinced that if you use savestates and practice gemhead locations and such you can do it in these 2 weeks.

I've now got 2 of the first 4 techs down, still working on the other 2 consistently. Have 2 of 4 gemheads down consistently as well, but I tend to shoot too much on stages 3 and 4 and end up killing them w/bullets :/

I feel good about 450K range happening - but i'll be aiming for 600K for sure.

Its still a good idea to use MAME to practice, if getting good is your main goal. I'd be on the cab erry day myself.

I've been playing; just cant reach that point anymore. Can't even make it to 1-4 now.
