Sadly, I sold all of my GI Joes and Transformers when I was younger. People often tell me I have lots of stuff. If they only knew how much I've foolishly given away over the years. I did get a generation 1 Hot Rod off ebay a few years ago. So I got at least something from my old collection back. The box isn't in mint condition, but the figure itself looks pretty good. He was my favorite autobot after the movie, though I always preferred his original Hot Rod form to his Rodimus Prime one. Maybe I'll put up a picture later

I would like to build up a new Transformers collection at some point. Collecting video games makes it hard to collect other stuff though. Plus, I've been pouring so much money into comic books lately.

How are the Transformers anime series? I had never realized there were so many of them. I'm guessing the '84 series is a good place to start and then go from there.

I grew up with transformers. Had a lot of g1 toys. I just have g1 optimus, ultra magnus,hot rod and rodimus prime. Just the leaders. All are complete.
Here is a little story of how much of an impact the transformers were growing up. Went with boys club group to see transformers the movie. Movie was good but within 20 minutes all of our heroes were killed off. When prime died every little kid in the theater and myself was crying. Parents were pissed and was getting refunds. I remember honestly that before the lights were out to start the movie the sits were almost filled. When I left and the movie was over, I say 60-70% of the seats were empty. Just because Hasbro wanted to make new toys. A**HOLES. Here is a list of our heroes and villians that died:
KNOWN DECEASED (CAUSE)
Brawn (1 shot/Megatron gun mode, fired by Starscream)
Sweep (flamed by Slag and Sludge, then crashed)
Ironhide (6 shots/Constructicons, Megatron, Starscream)
Optimus Prime (4 shots, sword wound, severe beating/Megatron)
Prowl (1 shot/Scavenger)
Ratchet (5 shots/Constructicons, Megatron, Starscream)
Starscream (1 shot/Galvatron cannon mode)
Unicron (Destroyed when Rodimus Prime opened the Matrix)

have you guys gotten any new transformers?

Awesome. I've thought about picking up the bots to make Bruticus but haven't done so. I really do like the Fall of Cybertron line of tformers, they're really cool. I have several of them. I found Blaster at Walmart for $17! I think he's $50 on Amazon.

I also got the FoC Grimlock which is pretty cool. A little flimsy, but cool. I also discovered the Transformers "Generations" line which has some great bots! I recently picked up Blitzwing and Springer! I had no idea they were even being made.
