So who actually plans on getting a Wii U

Nah, it doesn't really appeal to me all that much at the moment. Besides, I haven't even got a Wii yet, let alone a PS3, plus a massive backlog of games I want to play on X360 and GCN. I'll wait it out - Unless something really grabs my attention. I guess a HD Zelda will probably do the trick. And a new Super Smash Bros. Not to mention a whole load of other Nintendo IP... Maybe I will get one after all. Shit. I don't know.

Earlier in this thread i think i said ill wait til price decrease, but now im changing my mind to buying it new.
Reasons
1- Support Nintendo
2- Nintendo games in HD
3- Awesome controller (reviewers have said its very comfortable)

Nintendo isnt playing around this time and they brought out the big guns. Imagine the sheer creativity of Nintendo franchise reimagine once they have this machine.





And.... most likely be able to render even better graphics

If there is a killer app at launch (like a new Mario), i'll most likely pre-order (probably Amazon, where I got two Wiis near launch when that was impossible to find locally).

If the release titles are underwhelming, I may hold off.

I love Nintendo, so yes. I'd like to pre-order it.
But I REALLY want Nintendo to change the name.
