Saturn Working Fine, then Reads Games As Audio CDs

I installed racketboy's modchip on my model 2 Saturn last February and it has been running great until today. With absolutely no movement of any kind, besides opening the disc lid, I put in a game to play and it booted up but recognized it as an audio CD. It was a burned game so I checked an actual retail game, with no scratches on it, to the same result. Every game I try it treats it like an audio CD. It is just weird because I haven't changed anything.

It will actually play the audio off the CD so the cd drive is working.

I did open it up and tightened all the connections to see if that would help and nothing changed. I tried searching here and googling the issue to find no resolution.

Anyone else have this issue?

have you tried removing the chip and trying with a retail game?

Yeah, I've tried that as well as changing it from the AB mod to the regular mod. I went all the way through racketboy's recommendations.

He's kind enough to replace it for me though.
