Something like: "Oh...and you brought your baby...to a bar."

Pregnant women at bars are even a crazier sight to behold.

Smile: I think I might have a new job soon! My current job has been getting a little rough, all what with the state of the company and all. So much shit going on right now, you don't even wanna know.

About a month ago, I think I posted in this thread, I went down to a local guitar shop and was talking to the owner about a job. He told me he didn't have anything open immediately, but to come back with a resume in case something opened up. So I got out of work nice and early today and went down there with my resume.

I primarily am looking for work as a guitar tech, so we were talking for a while and I ended up taking a look at this music-on-hold box he had that wasn't working. I think I really impressed him when I dismantled the thing in under a minute. He said it really looks like I know what I'm doing. I guess all the time I spend tinker with stuff is actually gonna pay off. He didn't have a multi meter there, so I offered to run home and grab mine. The place is about 15 minutes away from my house WITH traffic, so I really didn't mind. Long story short, I ended up being able to diagnose the problem which is an easy fix.

I think I really impressed him though, so I'm hoping to hear back from him in the next few days. I might be able to pick up a day or two as a guitar tech right away. His current guitar tech might be moving soon, so then I think I'd be able to really jump in there. He said, if I'm up to it, he might want me to do some instructional videos for the store to promote mods I can do on guitars.

I'm actually pretty excited about this. This is the kind of stuff I love to do as a hobby, so it would be awesome if I could do it as an actual job.

Frown: This didn't really piss me off or anything, but I thought it was funny enough to share. On my way back I stopped off at CVS (a drug store). On my way in the store, there was a few people on line, and I took note of them. I grabbed what I needed real quick and went back up to the registers. There was one person getting rung up, and the same lady and her daughter (I'm guessing) next in line. But you know how some people wait really far back from the counter when waiting on lines? It looked like that, so I went around side of her and asked if she was waiting on line. This lady was definitely of a Spanish-speaking ethnic. She peered out the corner of her eye at me then went back to looking straight ahead. It was a real nasty look. So I asked again if she was waiting on line, to which she replied "No." So I went around her and up to the counter. After I was rung up, as I was leaving the store I saw her go up to the counter to get rung up. Obviously she didn't speak English, and she just took a guess and said "no" to me. The part that bothers me is why she can't learn to say "no speak English." I know how to say "lo siento, no hablo epsanol." Even if she told me in spanish "Yo no hablo Ingles" I would have known what she said, but instead she just gave me one of the nastiest looks I've ever gotten from a stranger.

Anyways, this event didn't piss me off or anything. I thought it was more funny than anything else.
