Best 4-Player Games. (One Screen. Local)

Post by Thermoptic »

I love 4-Player games. Me and my friends have gaming nights now and then and we have found what we think are the funniest and most enjoyable 4-Player games out there. So I have done this list whith the games we like the most. But I would like some more tips and recommendations from you.

What are your favorite 4-Player games? But there is a limitation! You can only choose a game that every player is on THE SAME SCREEN. So no split-screen games. Why? Games like Halo, Goldeneye or Mario Kart sometimes feels like you are playing alone. Its just more fun to have all the players on the screen on the same time. And its so much more fun to play the game local instead of playing it over the net.

All games have 4-Player support and any system is ok.

Fire Pro Wrestling Returns

One that hasn't been mentioned that I love - Jump n Bump for PC DOS. It's been ported to Windows for lan play and modded Xbox.
Oh, and Atari 2600's Warlords and an improved homebrew Medieval Mayhem using paddle controllers.

Wasn't there a Pacman game for GameCube where one player was Pacman and the other 3 controlled the ghosts?

Scott Pilgrim vs. the World: The Game - PSN/XBLA (retro-style beat-em-up)
Fuzion Frenzy - original Xbox (multiplayer mini-games)

It's also probably too niche to be worthwhile, but the Dance Dance Revolution Ultramix series for Xbox has 4-player support.

Another set of votes for Saturn Bomberman and Guardian Heroes.

Moon Diver is pretty solid Strider style action-platformer for the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3.

The Dreamcast version of Giga Wing 2 has a 4 player co-op mode. Total insanity.
